Taking Time to Experience Joy

So many times we dwell on everything that is wrong in our lives. Lord knows I am guilty of it from time to time………………. especially when I am not feeling well or doped up on medication or when I’m just feeling sassy and really do not care to try to be any different. We don’t take the time to experience all that God has given us.  We miss simple pleasures; feeling the warm sun on our bodies or feeling the cool breeze on our face…… sitting on the front porch and hearing the leaves rustle or listening to the melodic wind chimes playing their orchestration of divergent notes in the distance…….or the elementary laughter of children playing as the birds are warbling over head.

Well, today, right now in this moment I say enough.  There is so much to be thankful for. In spite of what God has allowed us to experience in our illness or whatever other struggles you may be experiencing, there is so much Joy in the world. So much Joy in the Lord! He is the “Hope of the broken world!”  Join me, in this moment, and listen to this song taking our eyes off of ourselves and giving thanks and praise to God for what He has done in our lives.  It just may change the course of our day!!!!

Yes. It is so important to take that time, especially with our kids. Time goes by so fast. By baby is 15. Hard to believe. We need to cherish every moment!

      Thanks for the comment
